Fine Form Friday

Today GPW brings you a third installment of Fine Form Friday with three pictures of loyal GPW readers.

In our first picture we have Jefe's trademark high finishing position while making a rare tournament appearance at St. Andrews (West Chicago, not Scotland). Undoubtedly, Jimmy C is reading this right now and muttering..."The other Home of Golf."

One must wonder, with such a graceful finish, how can Jefe produce such a wide discrepancy in quality of golf shots? Indeed, during a round on this very golf course, GPW labeled Jefe...."The One Man Carnival Show." Some of Jefe's shot are thrilling and dramatic, others are just scary. Some will make you gasp in wonder, others may make you cry.

In the second picture we have Wyatt Halliday's swing at Sand Hills' par 4 4th hole. Compared to Jefe's Party Under the Big Top on virtually every swing, Wyatt is a total bore; that is, if you think a mind numbing succession of 320 yard screamers straight down the middle of the fairway are boring. The only problem with Wyatt is he swings from the wrong side.

Our final picture of FFF has Jefe and his swing guru, Jimmy C, at Bowes Creek. First off, does anyone wear a skullcap better than Jefe? We think not. And again, we see the fine, graceful finish.

This picture was taken during a round GPW played with Jefe in brutally cold conditions (Jefe's idea) this past October. The winds were up, the temps were hovering in the 30's, it was cart path only on a wet, soggy golf course at the end of the golf season. Is there anything dumber on a golf course than playing in those conditions?

Yes there is. Note the absence of any golf clubs for Jimmy C. JC didn't play golf that day, but he did drive 40 minutes to watch Jefe shoot 80 something and GPW barely keeping it under 100 in those brutal conditions. Admirable? Or idiotic? You be the judge.

  1. 80 something? A little revisionist history going on here.
