Lahinch has a wonderful set of par 3's, as demonstrated by the 8th. The hole plays high up in the dunes. Although the 8th is somewhat short, it is still a dangerous hole. Because the hole is located on one of the highest points on the property, winds can be a huge factor. The tee shot is played uphill and must carry a huge valley covered in native grasses.

The green is heavily contoured on the right. The right side of the green is actually benched into a dune. Two pot bunkers are also found right. One of the deepest bunkers GPW has ever seen can be found on the left hand side of the green. Shots that are short tend to fee off the front of the green to collection areas front and right.
