The first course is Waterville, located on the Ring of Kerry in southwest Ireland. The low building to the left is the clubhouse, which probably could also serve as a bomb bunker. The parking lot is rather empty, but Waterville was one of the more busy courses that GPW saw during his stay in Irland. Take note of the American flag flying just below the Irish flag. Waterville is a very American links, with a lot of Americans playing it.

The second picture isn't a sign. It's the road leading into Sand Hills, giving you a sense of the total isolation that the private course enjoys.

The sign for Sand Hills is rather small, understated, and sits just off the road in the tall prairie grass.

The final picture isn't a golf sign at all. How much do they love Padrig Harrington in Northern Ireland, winner of two Open Championships? A lot. GPW found this sign spray painted on a garage door while wandering the back streets of Newcastle, crying for the loss of Bernie and the golf clubs, between sobs signing U2's haunting melody, With or Without You...
"With or without you (Bernie), I can't live, with or without you (Bernie)."
