The front nine at Dooks plays close to the water while the back nine plays more inland. The 4th hole plays out to the water with the Dingle Mountains sprawling across the horizon. The hole is dangerous becasue out of bounds stakes lining the entire left hand side. During GPW's tour of Ireland over 10 days and 8 courses, Dooks was the only course that had out of bounds stakes.
The ground left of the stakes looks playable, but it's not. Dingle Bay borders the left side of the hole, and the ground here is much like a marsh. GPW wouldn't go in there to fetch a wayward ball. However, GPW is fairly certain men with more daring and courage, like Wego, certainly would tempt the marsh if it meant saving a ball.
