Lost Dunes Par 4 6th

Today GPW brings you three pictures of the par 4 6th hole at Lost Dunes, measuring 470 yards from the back tee.

The 6th is the first really difficult hole at Lost Dunes, and also the first hole that plays through a significant amount of trees. From the tee, the hole bends gently left. The tee shot must avoid bunkers and a severe mound right of the fairway.

The greensite is nestled into the trees with a saucer bunker guarding the front. The bunker is 60 yards short of the middle of the green. The player that finds this bunker faces the nightmare mid-range bunker shot.

The green, like many of the greens at Lost Dunes, has many humps and hollows. There is a bailout area to the right of the green, but the severe undulation of the green make getting up and down for par very difficult.
