The 15th begins with a climb up a set of wooden stairs, through the yucca, sand and rugged terrain.
Again, depending on the tee selected, the 15th will most likely play downhill. However, if a forward tee is selected, the hole can actually play slightly uphill. Part of the brilliance of Ballyneal is the diversity and elasticity of the golf holes, particularly the par 3's.
Like GPW's forehead, the green is expansive. For whatever reason, in three privileged visits to Ballyneal, GPW has played this hole remarkably well.
However, the 15th isn't all lollipops and puppy dogs. The third picture, taken from behind the green shows just how large the putting surface is. Getting the tee ball on the same quadrant as the pin is key. The 15th green is rolling, with multiple tiers and ridges to negotiate.
The final picture shows another set of wooden stairs leading away from the 15th, on the way to the 16th box.
