The Prairie Club

GPW Nation, all seven of them, know that The Prairie Club was on the hit list for last summer. Unfortunately, all GPW saw at the Prairie Club was a lot of rain and zero golf.



Isn't The Prairie Club supposed to be sand based golf in the rolling sand hills of Nebraska? You know, sandy turf that drains quicker than Wego used to drain triples on the basketball court? Not so much. The first picture shows just how wet it was at The Prairie Club. The property's entrance looks more like a swamp.



In a desperate attempt to wait out the deluge, GPW and crew stayed one night at the lodge found on site. Bernie was able to get a solid night's sleep after a long trek through the rain and sand hills.



Although the accommodations at The Prairie Club were ultra swanky, Bernie complained they were well below his standards. His chief complaint? Not enough pillows.
