Royal County Down Par 3 7th

Today GPW brings you (on time) the par 3 7th hole at Royal County Down.

On the card, the 7th looks like a breather on a crazy demanding and difficult golf course. The hole measures just 145 yards and the green is 32 paces deep. However, the 7th hole can be trickery than Jefe's offensive scheme for Atari football circa 1983. (Jefe aired it out on virtually every play and racked up more points, at GPW's expense, than people own guns in Texas)

The view is obscured by a deep pot bunker that fronts the green. At best, standing on the tee, the golfer can see the top of the flag. The green is tilted somewhat away from the golfer. A large bunker left of the hole and two more behind the green are completely hidden on the tee shot. It is a thrilling moment for the golfer, watching his tee ball sail toward the mountains and then over the bunker and out of view.
